A systematic review of foreign language learning with immersive technologies (2001-2020)

چکیده

This study provides a systematic literature review of research (2001–2020) in the field teaching and learning foreign language intercultural using immersive technologies. Based on 2507 sources, 54 articles were selected according to predefined selection criteria. The is aimed at providing information about which interventions are being used for where potential gaps exist. papers analyzed coded following categories: (1) investigation form education level, (2) degree immersion, technology used, (3) predictors, (4) criterions. identified key findings relating use technologies cognitive, affective, conative levels. revealed area teachers as target group, virtual reality (VR) fully intervention form. Furthermore, studies reviewed rarely examined behavior, implicit measurements related inter- trans-cultural teaching. Inter- transcultural especially an underrepresented subject. Finally, concrete suggestions future given. contributes challenge interdisciplinary cooperation between pedagogy, didactics, Human-Computer Interaction achieve innovative teaching-learning formats successful digital transformation.
